Abstract
In a standard amidite coupling-based automated oligonucleotide synthes is campaign, the 4,4'-dimethoxytriphenylmethyl (DMT) protecting group is discarded as waste along with large amounts of dichloromethane, Her ein, we report a straightforward and simple process for complete captu re and recovery of the DMT group and dichloromethane, rendering the ol igonucleotide manufacturing process safer and more economical.
