DETERMINATION OF S-ALLELE GENOTYPES OF 21 APPLE CULTIVARS AND STRAINSAND CONFIRMATION OF 45 OTHERS BY CONTROLLED CROSSES

The self-incompatibllity (S) genotypes of 'Tsugaru', 'Sekaiichi', 'Nat sumidori', 'Akita Gold', M. 9 and 16 other cultivars and strains corre sponding to each S-allele genotype were determined by controlled cross pollination. Those of 45 others reported earlier were reconfirmed.
