Abstract
Ground-state Q-values have been measured for (p, n) reactions on Cl-37 and Co-59 by determination of the neutron and proton energies associa ted with near-threshold resonances. The neutron energies were measured by time-of-flight techniques; the energy scale for the protons was ca librated via the well-known Al(p, gamma) resonances between 0.6 MeV an d 2.2 MeV. By a full covariance analysis the following Q-values were o btained:Cl-37(p, n) Ar-37 : -1596.22 +/- 0.20 keV, Co-59(p,n) Ni-59 : -1855.33 +/- 0.20 keV. (C) 1998 Elsevier Science B.V.
