Abstract
The two-dimensional (2D) Heisenberg model with exchange anisotropy Del ta = 1 - J(x)/J(z) (J < 0) and S = 1/2 is studied by the quantum Monte Carlo method. Energy and spin-spin correlation functions are calculat ed. The staggered magnetization sigma dependence 1/sigma = 1 + 0.13(1) ln(1/Delta) an anisotropy exchange is determined.
