Abstract
The main objective of this paper is to summarize modelling of on-heati ng and on-cooling phase transformations occurring in Low Activation Ma rtensitic (LAM) steels, Calculations of thermodynamic equilibrium phas e fractions and kinetic aspects of phase transformations have been per formed by using different approaches from experimental data (CCT and T TT diagrams obtained by dilatometry). All the calculated data have bee n compared to an important and systematic set of experimental data obt ained on different LAM steels of the 7.5-11% CrWVT a type. (C) 1998 El sevier Science B.V.
