AUTOSOMAL RECESSIVE ANHIDROTIC ECTODERMAL DYSPLASIA IN A LARGE MOROCCAN FAMILY

We studied a large Moroccan family in which anhidrotic ectodermal dysp lasia is transmitted as an autosomal recessive trait. Fourteen family members, both males and females, were affected and they all had a comm on ancestor. Linkage analysis by homozygosity mapping in this family w ill permit the gene localisation of this rare form of anhidrotic ectod ermal dysplasia.
