TIMING JITTER PERFORMANCE OF MULTIWAVELENGTH MODELOCKED SEMICONDUCTOR-LASER

The magnitude and origin of pulse-to-pulse timing jitter from a four-w avelength modelocked semiconductor laser is experimentally investigate d. It is shown that the intracavity wavelength selective element adds tinting instabilities and amplitude noise to the semiconductor laser u nder multiwavelength modelocked operation.
