Abstract
Addition of conformationally flexible biphenols to (R)-BINOL-Ti((OPr)- Pr-i)(2), forms a new catalytic species with which ees are as high as 97.3% in the hetero-ene reaction of n-butyl glyoxylate to alpha-methyl styrene. (C) 1998 Elsevier Science Ltd. All rights reserved.
