Abstract
The new dibenzbdiynes 1 and 2 have been synthesized using a Nozaki-Hiy ama-Kishi reaction as the key step. Treatment of dibenzodiynone 2 with base at -50 degrees C afforded an enyne-cumulene intermediate that un denvent a regioselective cycloaromatization via a chrysene biradical.
