Abstract
An efficient and clean two step procedure for the synthesis of imidazo [2,1-b]oxazoles has been developed from 2-aminooxazoles using titanium (IV) chloride assisted cyclization, and a variety of imidazo[2,1-b]oxa zoles have been synthesized in good yields. The structure of one of th e products was confirmed by X-ray crystallographic analysis.
