Ve. Gokhman, DIFFERENTIAL CHROMOSOME STAINING IN PARAS ITIC WASPS OF THE GENUS DIROPHANES (HYMENOPTERA, ICHNEUMONIDAE), Zoologiceskij zurnal, 76(1), 1997, pp. 70-73
Karyotypes of three ichneumonid wasp species of the genus Dirophanes F
oerster, D. callopus (Wesmael) (2n = 18), D. fulvitarsis (Wesmael) (n
= 10, 2n = 20) and D. invisor (Thunberg) (2n = 20), were studied using
chromosome C-banding. D. callopus and D. invisor were found quite sim
ilar in general distribution of heterochromatine differing in this cha
racter from D. fulvitarsis. Population polymorphism on heterochromatic
segments has been revealed among parasitic wasps for the first time.
