SUMMARY OF 4 1 2 YEARS OF RESEARCH EXPERIENCE OF THE US AMORPHOUS-SILICON RESEARCH TEAMS/

The four national amorphous silicon research teams held their 8th guid ance team and technical team meetings in conjunction with the 25th Ann iversary Symposium of the Institute of Energy Conversion at the Univer sity of Delaware. The teams were formed in 1992 and represent a succes s story of teamed photovoltaics research, integrating the efforts of i ndustrial groups, universities and national laboratories (NIST and NRE L). In this paper, we will make an attempt to summarize the accomplish ments and the lessons learned during this period. (C) 1997 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.
