Abstract
The normal form of narrow bandpass digital filters is shown to be suit able for the application of error feedback to reduce roundoff error no ise. The problem of solving for the optimal (minimum noise) feedback c oefficients is addressed for normal and direct form recursive digital filters. A suboptimal solution, useful for reducing implementation cos ts, is also presented.
