C. Scottkerr, MANUFACTURE OF MULTIWALL SACK PAPERS - AN UP-TO-DATE REVIEW OF METHODS AND RECOMMENDED PROCESSES, Pulp & paper Canada, 98(5), 1997, pp. 45-48
High performance multiwall sack paper requires exceptionally high CD a
nd MD Tensile Energy Absorbtion combined with low air resistance. This
is achieved through a combination of high and low consistency refinin
g, while maintaining a maximum first pass retention in order to keep a
ir resistance as low as possible. Stock preparation, wet end chemistry
and machine design must all be combined to obtain the required sheet
properties for high performance multiwall sack.
