Abstract
Usually large 3D simulations are used to calculate the cosmic microwav e background anisotropies induced by global scalar fields. By going to the large N limit and solving the equations of motion analytically, w e can drastically reduce the amount of numerical computations needed, while still finding results quite similar to the corresponding functio ns in the texture model.
