J. Mackerle, FINITE-ELEMENT ANALYSIS AND SIMULATION OF ADHESIVE BONDING, SOLDERINGAND BRAZING - A BIBLIOGRAPHY (1976-1996), Modelling and simulation in materials science and engineering, 5(2), 1997, pp. 159-185
This paper gives a bibliographical review of the finite element method
s (FEMs) applied to the analysis and simulation of adhesive bonding, s
oldering and brazing processes. The bibliography at the end of the pap
er contains references to papers, conference proceedings and theses/di
ssertations on the subjects that were published in 1976-1996. The foll
owing topics are included: adhesive bonding-stress analysis of adhesiv
e bonding in general, stress analysis and design of specific bonded jo
ints, fracture mechanics and fatigue analysis, destructive and nondest
ructive evaluation of bonds, other topics; soldering-thermal stresses
and deformation analysis of solder joints, fracture mechanics aspects
and fatigue analysis of solder joints, solder joint reliability; and b
razing-finite element analysis and simulation.
