D. Dewey et al., FACTOR STRUCTURE OF THE WRAML IN CHILDREN WITH ADHD OR READING DISABILITIES - FURTHER EVIDENCE OF AN ATTENTION CONCENTRATION FACTOR/, Developmental neuropsychology, 13(4), 1997, pp. 501-506
This study investigated the validity of the factor structure of the Wi
de Range Assessment of Memory and Learning (WRAML) in samples of child
ren with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) and reading d
isability, as well as a group of controls. An attention/concentration
factor emerged for all 3 groups. For the ADHD group it accounted for t
he highest proportion of the variance. These results support the valid
ity of an attention/concentration factor and call into question the 3
published indexes of the WRAML.
