Abstract
It is shown that total hadronic cross sections are described well by c onsidering single- and double-scattering contributions from quark-quar k scattering. With an energy-dependent form suggested by Regge theory, all high-energy total cross sections can be fitted successfully and e fficiently using a small number of free parameters.
