M. Elnadi et al., TARGET-ASSOCIATED PARTICLES PRODUCTION IN THE INTERACTIONS OF 3.7 AND200A GEV SULFUR PROJECTILES WITH NUCLEAR-EMULSION, International journal of modern physics E, 6(1), 1997, pp. 191-202
The characteristics of the associated particles produced in 3.7 and 20
0A GeV S-32-emulsion inelastic interactions are reported. The experime
ntal data at 3.7 A GeV are compared with the predictions of the standa
rd cascading evaporation model. For explaining the results at higher e
nergy (200A GeV), a simple model which includes the nucleon sub-struct
ure (Reggeon model) is introduced. This model is found to be capable o
f producing the mean features of the data obtained for the two used ex
posures.
