Ni was deposited on a co-deposition film of phthalocyanine and paraffi
n (Pc Pa) in vacuum, and the composite film (Pc * Pa + Ni) was fabri
cated. Molecular aggregation structure and chemical reactivity of Pc o
f the composite was investigated in comparison with that of the compos
ite film (Pc + Ni) fabricated in a similar way but without Pa. The X-r
ay diffraction of Pc Pa showed no peak, and a drastic aggregation de
crease to the almost amorphous structure was suggested. The result was
different from that of the deposition film of Pc alone which showed h
igh crystallinity. The results of XPS measurement supported the above
difference. Formation of a NiPc complex was suggested from visible abs
orption spectra of dilute solutions of Pc Pai Ni but not from that o
f Pc + Ni. The aggregation decrese of PC Pa was considered to increa
se the chemical reactivity of Pc and Ni.
