Abstract
The passage of light through dispersion layers consisting of large weakly a bsorbing scatterers has been investigated. Measurements of the transmittanc e and the angular structure of scattered radiation have been made. The depe ndence of these characteristics on the thickness and the concentration of s catterers has been analyzed. (C) 1999 Optical Society of America.
