Abstract
Several chromium(0) tricarbonyl-(eta(6)-phenyl methanol) complexes hav e been assayed for the routine quantitative determination of alkyllith ium solutions. The results show that these reagent indicators offer an alternative for the accurate quantification of alkyllithium concentra tions providing values in agreement with published procedures. In addi tion, of one of the chromophores was isolated and its structure charac terized by H-1 NMR as methylated derivatives.
