Abstract
The unit cells of the superstructures and the space groups of Pb2YbTaO6 and Pb2LuTaO6 crystals are determined by the X-ray diffraction method. The seq uences of phase transitions are considered with the invocation of the group -theoretical and thermodynamic methods.
