Abstract
A new terrestrial desmoscolecid species, Desmoscolex (Desmolorenzenia) camerunensis sp.n., is described from a tropical forest in Cameroon. The new species is characterized by eighteen main rings, a rounded rec tangular head, a lip region pattern with a rosette-like labial ridge o f which each sector embrace a fine labial seta with a pore at its base , large grooved amphids, sexual dimorphism in the somatic setal patter n, and the shape of the end ring with uncovered annulated tube-like en d.
