Abstract
CMOS imagers generate both white noise and low frequency noise with a power spectral density proportional to 1/f(alpha) with 0.5 < alpha < 2.0. To cha racterise on-chip/off-chip amplifiers or CDS circuits, while noise sources are available commercially, but not low frequency noise sources. A practica l bandlimited 1/f(alpha)-noise constructed using a white noise source is pr esented.
