Abstract
Orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) transmission in a time di spersive radio channel requires the insertion of a guard interval to combat inter-carrier interference. This insertion of the guard interval reduces t he transmission efficiency. The pre-FFT equaliser design presented suppleme nts or replaces the guard interval and thereby achieves a more efficient tr ansmission.
