Abstract
An alkaloid 341A isolated by HPLC from skin extracts of the Ecuadoran poiso n frog Epipedobates tricolor was characterized by FTIR, MS and H-1-NMR spec tral analysis and assigned a spiro-fused pyranoindolizidine structure (1). It represents the first member of a small group of pumiliotoxin alkaloids t o contain a cyclic ether moiety.
