Abstract
In recent years several comprehensive hillslope hydrological models have be en developed which have resulted in the improved representation of hillslop e hydrological processes (including their interactions) and in some operati onal applications. An overview of the objectives for hydrological modelling at the hillslope and micro-catchment scale is presented, an exemplary comp rehensive physically-based hillslope model is briefly introduced, and sever al application examples are demonstrated. The limitations of detailed hills lope hydrological modelling are discussed.
