A piezoelectric sensor with branched poly(N-2-butoxycarbonylethyl)ethylenim
ine complex of copper(II) chloride used as a sensing coating was developed
for the determination of the concentration of 1,1-dimethylhydrazine in air.
The major performance characteristics of the sensor were studied, and its
working parameters were optimized. The frequency variation rate was used as
a signal. The detection limit of 1,1-dimethylhydrazine was 0.3 ppm at an a
nalysis time of 3 min. The concentration characteristic curve of the sensor
was linear from 0.3 to 300 ppm.
