Effective step-by-step technique for the surgical treatment of protruding ears

Objective: Techniques of otoplasty may be arbitrarily divided into cartilag e-molding or cartilage-splitting categories. In this article, we describe o ur personal experience in over 100 otoplasties using a combination of these two methods. We highlight the step-by-step approach, as well as a number o f previously unreported techniques, that have enabled us to consistently ac hieve permanent, esthetically pleasing results in both younger patients, as well as in older adults.
