Sg. Williams et al., Endopyelotomy for treatment of ureteropelvic junction obstruction caused by torsion of a renal allograft, J UROL, 161(5), 1999, pp. 1560-1561
Ureteral obstruction is the most common urological complication following r
enal transplantation. The obstruction most often occurs distal, secondary t
o ureteral ischemia and fibrosis or extrinsic compression. Rarely the level
of obstruction occurs at the ureteropelvic junction. We report a case of t
orsion of a renal allograft causing ureteropelvic junction obstruction that
was successfully treated endourologically.
