Malignancy associated hypercalcemia occurs in several genitourinary tumors
and is a common life threatening metabolic disorder.(1-3) In these patients
an elevated parathyroid hormone like activity can be occasionally demonstr
ated, indicating a paraneoplastic effect, Recently, evidence of the associa
tion of hypercalcemia and squamous cell carcinoma of the penis has emerged.
(4) We report a case of advanced penile carcinoma with hypercalcemia and si
multaneously elevated parathyroid hormone related protein levels.
