Zi. Finkel'Shtein et al., Desulfurization of 4,6-dimethyldibenzothiophene and dibenzothiophene by Gordona aichiensis 51, MICROBIOLOG, 68(2), 1999, pp. 154-157
Gordona aichiensis 51 was able to utilize dibenzothiophene and 4,6-dimethyl
dibenzothiophene as sulfur sources when grown aerobically on glycerol or et
hanol, which resulted in desulfurization of the compounds studied with the
formation of hydroxybiphenyl and demethylhydroxybiphenyl, respectively.
