Abstract
We describe the performance of retroperitoneoscopy-assisted total nephroure terectomy, combined with transurethral extraction of the ureter, in a patie nt with renal pelvic cancer. There were no significant complications during or after the operation. After follow-up for 14 months, there has been no l ocal recurrence of the tumour. Our technique may be advantageous for patien ts with early renal pelvic and upper ureteral cancer because it is minimall y invasive.
