Abstract
We describe the fabrication of chirped gratings in a specially developed ph otosensitive large-mode-area fiber and report the use of these components i n a picosecond all-fiber chirped-pulse-amplification circuit. We demonstrat e the generation of microjoule energy pulses with peak powers in excess of 500 kW, which we believe to be a record peak power from an all-fiber system .
