Abstract
Polymyositis is an inflammatory disease commonly affecting the striated mus cle. When it is accompanied by characteristic skin lesions, the condition i s called dermatomyositis, Bilateral condylar resorption has been reported w ith autoimmune conditions and chronic systemic steroids. We report the firs t documented case of bilateral condylar resorption in a patient with dermat omyositis. Possible etiologic factors and treatment outcomes are discussed.
