Abstract
New data on quasi-elastic broadening from molten (Li0.62Na0.38)-Li-7 confir m the earlier observation of critical narrowing at T = 626 K (T - T-c = 50 K) and also show the expected behaviour at T = 676 K (T - T-c = 100 K). Wit hin the Q, T range studied and the limitations of statistics, no evidence w as found for more than a single quasi-elastic component. While the predicte d limiting behaviour within the critical region is approached, it is not fu lly reached. The experimental requirements for measurements truly within th e critical region are discussed. (C) 1999 Elsevier Science B.V. All rights reserved.
