C. Baraldo et al., Gravitationally induced interference of gravitational waves by a rotating massive object - art. no. 083001, PHYS REV D, 5908(8), 1999, pp. 3001
We discuss an interesting effect induced by the rotation of a massive objec
t acting as a lens for coherent gravitational radiation. We show that the r
esult is a concentric interference pattern which is shifted due to the effe
ct of thr angular momentum on the phase of radiation, an effect analogous t
o the Aharonov-Bohm effect. The possibility of detecting lensed gravitation
al waves is discussed in the context of upcoming gravitational wave detecto
rs. [S0556-2821(99)03406-2].
