Abstract
In studying LaSrAl1-xNixO4 ceramics, anomalies are detected in the concentr ation dependences of the lattice parameter c, the electrical resistance, an d the sign change of the Hall constant at x approximate to 0.6. It is shown that the collection of observed phenomena can be interpreted as a manifest ation of the Jahn-Teller nature of low-spin Ni3+ centers. (C) 1999 American Institute of Physics.
