Abstract
For -infinity < n < infinity let mu(n) be complex numbers such that mu(n) -
n is bounded. For n > 0 define lambda(n) = mu(n) + a, lambda(-n) = mu(-n)
- b where a, b greater than or equal to 0. Then the excesses E in the sense
of Paley and Wiener satisfy E({lambda(n)}) less than or equal to E({mu(n)}
).
