School psychologists sometimes wonder if, and when, to use self-help interv
ention programs in the treatment of school-aged children. The authors colle
cted survey information from 178 school psychologists about how self-help t
reatments are used and what outcomes are observed when using self-help inte
rventions with school-aged children. A majority of school psychologists rep
orted having used self-help interventions to help a child.
