Abstract
Complexation of scandium in its extraction with nitrogen-containing para-al kylphenol formaldehyde oligomer (NAPFO) from chloride solutions was studied . The stoichiometric composition of the extracted complex was established. The extracts of scandium and hydrochloric acid were studied by UV and IR sp ectroscopy. The conformational capacities of scandium complexation with NAP FO were analyzed using scaling models.
