Examining electron current dl backscattered inside a 1D wire connected to l
eads, we have found that at low energy some physical quantities are renorma
lized by the interaction inside the wire, while some are not. (1) The charg
e of the average current and of its zero frequency fluctuations are not ren
ormalized. (2) The charge and spin susceptibilities are renormalized. Testi
