Abstract
2-Acyloxy-4,6-dimethoxy-1,3,5-triazines obtained in reaction between carbox ylic acid and 2-chloro-4,6-dimethoxy-1,3,5-triazine were used as acylating agents for the synthesis of eaters from primary, secondary, and tertiary al cohols. Because of mild acylation conditions the method could be applied to esterifrcation of labile alcohols with aromatic and aliphatic (also alpha- branched) acids in good yields.
