Abstract
Equations connecting the Raman intensity to the expansion coefficients of t he macromolecular orientation distribution function are derived and analyze d for a polymer sample with three mutually perpendicular two-fold symmetry axes. This case is the most typical of commercial polymers. The orientation of PE and PP is considered as an example.
