A. Marcovich et al., Imaging techniques in the diagnosis of choroiditis in a patient with acquired immune deficiency syndrome, ANN OPHTH G, 31(2), 1999, pp. 94-96
Patients with acquired immune deficiency syndrome (AIDS) are at high risk o
f developing opportunistic ocular infections. A recently recognized finding
in this category is choroiditis. We describe a patient with AIDS in whom c
horoiditis was suspected at an early stage of the disease, on the basis of
fluorescein angiography, computerized tomography, and magnetic resonance im
aging findings. Early diagnosis and prompt treatment may prolong the surviv
al of these patients.
