Abstract
The value set of an uncertain transfer function facilitates a number of rob ust control problems. For the general case, value set synthesis is aided wh en the transfer function is decomposed into a tree structure with (mostly) disjoint uncertain parameters. We have developed a general and direct techn ique for obtaining such transfer functions. Bond graphs provide the machine ry for the new technique. The method developed here simplifies tree-structu red transfer function synthesis for physically derived symbolic plant model s. (C) 1999 Elsevier Science Ltd. All rights reserved.
