Abstract
Spectra of gas-phase MoO and WO molecules covering the range from 550 to 80 0 nm are studied by means of intracavity laser spectroscopy (ICLS). The rot ational structure of four MoO bands is analyzed, and two bands are assigned to the 0-0 transitions from a low-lying electronic state (3)Delta. For WO molecules, the objects of analysis were 0-0 and 1-0 bands of A-X and B-X sy stems. A novel electronic state is identified. Molecular constants are dete rmined.
