Livestock Veterinarians are being called on to perform response trials to e valuate the efficacy and economic impact or new management practices on ind ividual ranches. This column discusses Various aspects of designing, implem enting, and interpreting the results of response trials. Factors that can a ffect the Validity of these trials are also explained, and a case example i s used to illustrate the concepts.
