Abstract
An algorithm is introduced that makes possible the calculation of distortio n in a common-emitter amplifier with feedback. The algorithm is easily prog rammable and could be incorporated into powerful circuit simulators, such a s SPICE. It can be used for calculating the minimum possible amount of feed back necessary to avoid surpassing a pre-specified amount of distortion in the design of high-gain common-emitter amplifiers. The accuracy of the deve loped algorithm is experimentally verified.
